Introductions
This course is designed to provide participants with a general understanding of the requriements for auditing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System based on OHSAS 18001:2007 standard within their organization. It also teaches the participants the benefits of auditing such system and the techniques and skills needed to perform internal auditing.
Course Objectives
At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of OHSAS 18001:2007
- Examine and/or discuss the audit requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007.
- Understand effective auditing and the process approach.
- Acquire knowledge and skills on internal auditing, its planning, implementation, documentation and reporting
- Formulate Internal Audit Plan and Audit Report.

- Phases of Internal Audit:
- Audit Preparation: Assigning Auditors, Developing audit Plan, Gathering working documents, Preparing checklist
- Audit Perofrmance: Opening Meeting, Assessing conformance/nonconformance, Determining conformities and observations, Discussing results with audit team, Closing meeting
- Audit Reporting and Follow-up: Audit Report Preparation, Determining corrective actions, Monitoring corrective actions
A written examination shall be given after the training. Certificate of Attendance shall be issued.
